Glass Discs

Already for 60 years our company is giving our customers competitive advantage by providing state of the art customer-specific micro-optical solutions, glass discs is one of our strengths. Our process flexibility allow us to make orders from small to large quantities for any specific customer request.

Depending on selected glass, discs are available in up to 400 mm diameters and a variety pattern specification depending on the requirements. We have supplied glass discs to different industries including medical equipment, factory automation, radars, encoders, military and defense, etc. Please find more information about different glass options below.

Manufacturing Capabilities

NG1 Black Glass Encoder Discs

NG1 Black glass is unique glass which perfectly fits for applications where reflective reading heads are used. Glass itself absorbs light pretty well and doesn’t require any additional coating on the back

BK7 Glass Encoder Discs

BK7 is a high quality optical glass that is usually used when the extra advantages provided by fused silica are not required. BK7 performs well in all chemical tests, so no additional or special handling is needed, which in turn reduces the costs of manufacturing. It is a relatively hard material with extremely low bubble and inclusion content.
